The kids first time golfing

Right before school started we took the kids to go miniature golfing. I guess we had never taken them before. It was a ton of fun. I won! Then dad, Karlee, and Rodney. Emily quit about halfway through and was playing throw the ball down the holes. She was happy so we didn't mind. It was a fun family day!

Karlees in 1rst Grade!

Well last night for Family Home Evening Matt gave the kids all a blessing. It is something he always does before they start school. Last year it was just Karlee but since Rodney will be starting Preschool in 2 weeks he decided to give them all one.

Rodney went first and then when he was done Emily got up and ran over and said my turn. It surprised me because when Matt gave her one a couple of weeks ago, to get her teeth worked on, she would only do it if I held her. I peeked in the middle of her blessing to see if she was sitting still and she was folding her arms, eyes closed and sitting so still. I started to cry (well bawl). My baby was growing up. Then my pregnant brain started to think about the day that my Dr had told me I would probably never get to have my own children and how my little baby I just had (Karlee) was going to be in first grade and gone all day and I was going to miss her so bad. Poor Rodney even said, "I won't go to preschool and leave you I will miss you too bad." It made me feel good but I know it will be good for him.

I know I say this a lot but I am in so much love with my kiddos. They make me so happy. They are so funny and sweet and yes sometimes they are terds, we all are. But I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven who gave me the blessing of being there mom. It is truly my honor. I hope and pray everyday that they will always know how much I love and adore them.

So our new adventure begins. Karlee will be gone until 2:35 and Rodney (in 2 wks) will be gone 3 days a wk for 2 1/2 hrs. I love to hear all the fun things they do and see them grow, I just wish they would slow down growing up so fast!

Elle's Baptism

About 2 weeks ago my niece, Elle, got baptized. It was such a special day. I am so glad we were able to go and that my kids got to watch her make such a great choice. Ever since then they keep saying when do I get to be baptized. Thank you Elle for being such a great example to your cousins!

Beauty and the Beast

I am so behind in blogging. Back in June the kids had a performance at Kingsburys Hall. It was Beauty and the Beast. Karlee was a tea cup and Rodney was a tea pot. It was so fun to watch and the kids had a blast. I can't believe this fall I will have all 3 kids in dance!

Going to the Dentist

Well when the kids went to the dentist we were told Rodney and Emily had a cavity and Karlees filling was falling out so they all had 2 fix it. I feel so bad the kids definitely have my teeth. When the are little they look perfect but they are so close together its so hard to floss them and thats where they got the cavity. Emily had been given a bunch of potty treats to help in potty training so that got her one.

I do love the kids dentist though. He is so great with the kids and the older 2 had laughing gas and Emily got so mediciane to make her loopy. They had her drink it and said in 10min she should be ready she was sitting on her bum and she kept peeking her head back and forward behind a little bus when all of the sudden she fell flat on her back. I guess it worked! She was happy, laughing, and crying for most of the day. She is really independent so she had a hard time having to be carried all day.

This is when Emily got her teeth cleaned. She hated it so bad! They had wanted to put her to sleep when they fixed her cavity because they thought it would be to hard for her and the dentist but I asked if we could try something else first so they gave her the loopy meds.

She was a perfect angel. Her daddy gave her a blessing before and I am so glad it worked!

Some of our Summer

I took the kids to the pool with our friends the Nosses. They had a blast. I had hoped to put the kids in swim lessons this yr but since I was on bed rest for 6 weeks we will have to do it next yr.

Swim Day

This is Emily after we got home. She was pooped!

While we were in Logan with Grandma and Papa Bro we took the kids to the 24rth of July parade.

Karlee wrapped up her work for her Jonah and the Great Fish by going in and doing some ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) work. She loved it so much. She was defiantly in her element. She has loved being apart of the Liken family and I hope there are many more opportunities for her to do that.

I love these 2 monkeys!

So today was LuLu's first dance class. She loved it so much. The last 6mths she has been saying I do dance and I do soccer. She was struggling waiting for it to be her time. She loved it so much. She went in and was shaking her booty. Rodney has started his second yr and he really enjoys it. He has said he would like to start doing karate and also basketball. I love my kiddos so much!

Its a...............

Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to have our ultrasound today. Our baby is healthy and perfect! When the technician started she said, "Oh there is 2 of them" I knew she was joking but Matt almost had a heart attack! He spun around so fast from looking at the big monitor on the wall and he looked white as a ghost! Then she said, "just joking." It was awesome.

Then she asked if we made any bets and I said "well my 2 year old and I think its a girl but the rest think its a boy". She asked what the bet would be so Karlee and I decided to bet a candy bar. After checking the baby out she said well mom you owe the kids a candy bar. I said its really a boy? She said it is definatly a boy!

We are so excited. Rodney said he couldnt wait for this baby brother to sleep in his room. Emily cried for a long time demanding, "no! its a girl." We took the kids out to eat to celebrate and by the end Emily was happy to be having a brother!
