Friday night I put Mason in bed, he was totally fine. Then about an hr later he was screaming BAD! I went to check on him and he had a cold. I gave him some love and got him back to sleep. The next day he wouldn't eat or drink. Then Sunday morning when I went to get him he was really hot (he had a temp of 102*) and was just laying there. He still wouldn't eat so I told Matt I was talking him to Urgent Care.
At Urgent Care he was given an IV in his hand and they gave him two bags of fluid. Even after that he was still very lethargic. Then I went to show the Dr a really weird rash he had and there was blood in his diaper. I started to cry, I asked the Dr why he would have blood in his diaper and he said that either he had a bladder infection or he had been so dehydrated that his bladder could of released some blood. So they had to get a urine same of him and they admitted him to Primary Children's. They had already told me that he also had Bronchiolitis again, this is his 3rd time.
He was on an IV all day Sunday and Monday morning they stopped it and later had to take it out because it was leaking. Monday he ate a little but still wouldn't drink so that night they put another IV in his other hand, let it run all night and stopped it again early Tue and said if he could drink we could go home. He had to get a catheter and we were able to find out that he didn't have a bladder infection and we were able to leave and be home by 3 on Tue. He still has a terrible cough and I have to suction out his nose and throat. They said he could be sick for a few weeks but as long as he was drinking he would be OK.
It was so hard for me to see him so sick. I love Mason so much, even when he was in the womb I worried so much about him. He has kept me really busy. I pray that as he gets a little older that he wont get as sick. I tell Matt all the time that Mason is going to give me gray hair, from worrying. :)
