Karlee has the coolest Mom!

So I for literally 2years my kids and I have listened to Taylor Swift in the car. We have 2 c.d's that we listen to all the time. They either watch a movie or we listen to Taylor. We love Taylor Swift! I have always said if she came I would go with with my girls! They know almost every song. Well because I barely ever get to listen to the radio I found out the day before she was coming and that the concert was Sold Out! Well when I want something really really bad nothing stops me from making it happen. So I set out to get tickets. I found some guy on KSL selling them and got a great deal on 2 tickets. 2 Tickets, meant I could take Karlee. I felt guilty not taking Emily she loves her and she always says that she, Emily, is the girlie in the dress. But she is only 3 and there was no way she could go. Anyway, It was super hard to not tell Karlee when she got home. I told her to go shower and she thought it was weird I laid out clothes for her and not jammies. She kept saying why don't I put on my jammies. Then I told her to eat dinner super fast and she was like why are we going somewhere. But I wanted to tell her and have Matt record it. ( I'll post that soon)
I told her how grateful I am for her and that I realize that since she is the oldest she has to do a lot to help me and I'm really grateful for her. I gave her the tickets she thought it was to a movie. I told her we are going to the Taylor Swift concert, she Freaked. She was so happy. She said she had the best parents ever! The concert was really fun. There were 2 opening acts that we didn't know. She was starting to get frustrated but at about 8:30 (we got there at 7) she came out. It was fun to hold hands with my daughter and sing. I did miss Emily though. The last half an hr she laid her head on my lap and listened to her sing. She was pretty tired when we got home at 12:30. But it was well worth it.
She tried to do the classic Taylor "Heart" but I didn't aim the camera good so we had to do it again.

Karlee singing along

I love this girl so much!
Me and my girl!

We are at the concert!

1 of the millions of buses *there were at least 20!

I don't have the best camera or pictures but it was definitely a night we will never forget. We actually went out the wrong side of the building and walked about 1/2mile before we realized we were lost and had to go back and go out the other side of the building to find our car. Karlee of course having a better since of direction than me said we were going the wrong way. Then our exit ramp was closed so I had to call Matt at midnight and ask him how to get home. The next morning when I told Emily where we went she cried, I felt bad but I promised her that we would go on a date really soon!

**I posted a few videos from the concert too

Masons surgery

Before surgery

After surgery

My little dude

Mason was scheduled to have surgery at 9:45 at 7am I got a call asking us if we could be there at 8am. We had to really hurry but I made it there only 5min late. I was happy they could get him in early because I was worried he would be starving. Just a few minutes before they took him back he was fussy and Matt took him and he fell asleep, that made handing him off a lot easier. He was getting circumcised and a hypospadias repair. He was in surgery for 2 1/2 hrs and we were there for 6hrs. I was so happy to see him after. He was supposed to have clear liquids but it was 1:30 and he hadn't eaten since 7:45pm last night so he was starving and he doesn't like juice (weird I know) so they said well give him his bottle and lets hope he doesn't barf. Luckily he didn't. They were so good to him there, everyone loved his hair. The last nurse said that got the cutest baby award. I'm just glad he is healing and home. He does have to have a catheter until Wednesday but he is doing pretty good.

Poor little Karlee

If you click on her picture you can see the tears rolling down her face :( Oh, my poor girl! Her tummy has been hurting and shes been really itchy so we took her in for allergy testing. Luckily for her she is Not allergic to anything. This was the first time she had to have her blood taken, the nurse was fishing for the vein which made me so mad. I finally told her, shes done its not working. Then they sent us down to the lab. It took awhile she has no veins, like me, and they had to leave the tourniquet on for awhile and put a heating pack on her to get a vein.

She said it was the worst day of her whole life. I told her her friend Tenaya has to do that all the time. She felt really sad for her friend, and herself. They gave her a coloring book, crayons, and a little froggy. Then we took her to get dinner and cheesecake so it ended up not being the worst day of her life. :) The blood work will take a few days so hopefully it comes back good.

Mason is 9mths old!

Well Mason turned 9mths. It has gone by so fast! He is a little machine climbing up the stairs. He cant go down but he loves to go up! You can see that we painted. I love it, it looks so good! Mason has had 6 ear infections in 9mths which has made for a really fussy baby. He is having surgery in the morning for something else so I'm not sure when they will put in the tubes.

Up up up he goes

So proud!

He is 22lbs! He looks so big in this picture!

I love you Masors!

I had to throw this one in I told Emily to get her shoes on and not only do they Not match one is on the wrong foot. She is soooooo funny!

He did it again!

I sure love this little dude! His other tooth was so loose it was hanging there. I asked him if I could pull it out he started to freak and said no. It was bleeding a little so I told him we needed to clean it up again. It literally fell right out. I didn't even tell him. He played for a minute and didn't even know I had it. So I said Rodney why don't you go look in the mirror. He did and he was so excited it was out! Way to go Rodney. He is having a good week, a new toy and 2 bucks! Life is good when your name is Rodney! Love ya little dude!

On a side note, I just don't want to forget this. He gets to ride the bus to school only. Well he was a little scared about getting on that Big Bus that has no seat belts. (his words) When he got on he was the only kid! The other 2 kids are off track and he is the first stop. The bus driver was really nice, she told him not to worry and that he'd love it! Well I said a prayer that he would like it and not get picked on. Well when he got home I asked him how the bus was, he said he loved it except for the fact that he got kissed! I was worried about him getting picked on not kissed! That was pretty funny. So the next day when she tried to sit with him again he said he gave her the finger (he waved his pointer finger at her) and said I'm saving this seat for someone. Hahahaha

Rodney lost his first tooth at Target

Well for Labor Day we had some running around to do. We went to Target and Karlee had said her tooth was loose and that it had been for awhile. I felt it and it was loose but not ready. I said Rodney has a loose tooth too. I went to check it and he jerked away and that made it almost fall out. Well it was bleeding and he was crying. He was afraid it would hurt. I told him if you pull it out or let me do it I will buy you a toy. Normally I wouldn't do that but we don't usually get them something if its not there bday/xmas and he has been doing a lot of BIG things, for him, lately and this would be his first tooth. He said, "No thank you."

Karlee asked if she pulled hers out if she could get a toy I said sure. It was not ready and it usually takes weeks to get hers out. Matt went to go get a cart for the car seat we were buying Mason. While he was gone I told Rodney I needed to wipe up some of the blood. I did and his tooth came right out. He didn't even realize it. I showed him the tooth and he said a piece of my tooth broke off and I told him, no thats your tooth. He was so EXCITED. We played a trick on Matt when he came back. Rodney told him his tooth hurt and smiled at him. We were so proud of Rodney being so brave. Right after that Karlee starting laughing she pulled hers out.

Well we planned on going to Target to get Mason a car seat and we ended up leaving with a car seat, Captain America Shield/Shooter, Liv Doll, and a Ariel Polly pocket because we didn't want Emily to feel left out. Plus 2 missing teeth. Not to mention they both got a dollar from the Tooth Fairy. It was pretty funny they both lost a tooth at Target.

Karlee's lost tooth

Rodney's First baby tooth to go!

He is so Handsome!

We are so proud of you little dude!

Remodeling

Well ever since we bought this house Matt and I have Hated that RED Wall! In our old house we had the same light brown color and the wall connecting the living room and kitchen was a dark brown. At the time I loved it. I really wanted to do yellow but its hard to find a good yellow. Anyway we finally decided on a grey we liked and I am soooooo happy with how good it turned out!

I forgot to take a picture before with the couches in there but it didn't match at all. The rest of the walls were this brown color too.

The kitchen was a mess, sorry!

This is the finished product! We got a new side table and lamp too!

This is going into the kitchen. Next I want to paint the cabinets white!

This is a random picture but he is so cute too!

Pedicures

Every year before school starts Karlee and I go and get Pedicures it's a really fun tradition we do together. This year was a bit harder since school started so much earlier and things have been so busy. With Rodney starting school he and Matt went to Boondocks (or as Rodney called it Boondawgs) and I asked Karlee if she wanted to wait another weekend so we could go alone or we would have to bring Mason and Emily. She said she really wanted to go and it was OK if they came.

We had a ton of fun. She loves the massage chair! haha I did want to mention that I painted Emily's toes purple before we left and told her when she starts school we will all 3 go every year. Also I thought our toe colors were a great example of our personalities. Mine is neutral. I am quite until I feel comfortable around people, I like to sit in the back, I hate to get picked to read or speak at church I like to listen. Karlee picked HOT Pink. She loves to be the center of attention. She loves to speak at church and in front of a ton of people. She loves to be on stage and do movies/commercials. She is so much fun I love that girl!
