I was hoping so save this one and have it be something awesome. But instead we are taking care of Karlee who has strep throat. I am so ready for this yucky winter to be over!!!!!
So my mother in law had said that all she wanted for her 60Th Birthday was for all of her family to have a nice dinner. Well there was no way that was going to happen cuz one of her sons and his wife live in Arizona. Matt and I talked about it and thought it would be a great idea if while at Christmas when we were all home we surprised her and went out.
Well we all made up excuses for us to not be home one day and then her husband said lets just go out to dinner since its just the 2 of us. He took her to Hamilton's in Logan. We were in a private room all waiting for her. We sang Happy Birthday as soon as she came in. She was so surprised and so happy. It was a ton of fun. We all pitched in and got her a painting from James Christensen. Susan I hope you know how much we all love you and are grateful for all you do for us. You are a wonderful mom, mother in law, friend, and Grandmother! We are so glad that you were born!Happy Birthday!
They set up the table so beautifully and we had yummy peppermint cheese cake.
Rodney was so full and in the picture with his face looking like he was going to puke, well he was brave and tried shrimp. Needless to say he hated it. (Good boy) :)Happy Birthday Susan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christmas was so much fun! It's so nice that Emily and Rodney are big enough that they could really get into it and enjoy it! I love my family so much they make me so happy! We were up in Logan for 7 days it was a blast!
Some of Karlee's favorite gifts: New clothes, Fancy Nancy blanket, books, Sofie (Liv Doll), Moxie Girl (Doll) and the house that went with them!
Rodney- Blaster Shooter (star wars gun), transformers, Cars blanket, clothes, and books.
Emily- Tinker Bell doll and movie, magic wand, Dora blanket, babies and baby blanket.
The kids all got Star Wars Shirts and Rodney loved playing with Aunt Kirsten's D.S
We decided we had to make gifts for the siblings this year and I thought that was a great idea!
The girls got matching sweaters which I absolutely LOVE! Rodney always wears this band around his head at his grandparents, he thinks he is a ninja also he got this "blaster shooter and bumble bee helmet from Santa. Matt was Rockin his Air Jordan's (someone must sure love him) and last but not least the famous Clements bread for Christmas breakfast!
Which gift do you think she liked better??
I loved that the girls wore there headbands that Santa left in there stockings while opening there presents!
First thing in the morning, oh no! :) We were checking to see if Santa ate the cookies and milk and not only did he eat one he ate them all and he left the kids a note back. That was fun!
Best Christmas Gift I ever got! To be a mom to these 3 Beautiful and amazing kids!
Thank goodness Santa is smart and brought Rodney some new Spider man undies too much of him giving himself a wedgie and he needed some new ones. hahaha
Yummy homemade Sugar Cookies!
Emily loved sitting in front of this Santa and watching him. Rodney picked up some new moves and was break dancing.
We noticed that 99% of Emilys pictures she is either in the highchair, has a cold and a runny nose, or has food on her face. Well at least shes happy and oh so loved!!!Merry Christmas!
Last Christmas our friends the Griffiths invited us to a Christmas Devotional and it was so much fun so we of course kept that tradition and went with them again. It was at the Delta Center the Monday before Christmas. It is free to the public and you get a free hot dog and drink. This year a ton more people went than last year so they ran out of food but we had eaten dinner before so it was no biggie.
Also there everyone in the audience sings Christmas songs. John Schmidt was the special guest there and he played the piano and his daughter sang. We also saw Santa, Big Buddha and the Utah Jazz Bear. You get free tickets for your whole family to a Jazz Game, Bees game, free popcorn at the Megaplex, and tickets to the Miller Motor Race Park. What a great Family Home Evening we had! Thanks Griffiths family we sure love you guys!
What a great way to feel the Spirit through music!
Our kids are the best blessing we could ever ask for!
Well I apologize Karlee that I got so behind with the Holidays that I didn't finish up blogging about your Birthday. Working at Wal-Mart 2 days a week and babysitting 2 days a week got me really behind in blogging. New Years Resolution "Don't get that behind again" :)
We had a family birthday party for Karlee and she wanted homemade cheesecake "not that stuff in the box" I was told! Thats my girl she likes the good stuff! She got a new tutu for ballet, some clothes, barbie, and 3 Musketeers movie. she had a wonderful birthday thank you for help making it so special!
