Celebrating Karlees Birthday

We decided to celebrate Karlees birthday while we were in Logan so we could have more of her family around to celebrate it with us. It was a ton of fun, she wanted a pink cake with a cherry on top and a banana sour cream cake with homemade cream cheese frosting. Both cakes were received well :) She got some cute clothes, a puzzle, barbie car, Chad barbie (from H.S musical), Tinkerbell movie, and fairy arts book, she felt very loved and special.

I cant believe my baby is 5!

She was so excited!

Fun in Logan

It was so fun to have Matt home for a couple of days. The kids had so much fun playing with there dad. They made Turkeys and colored snowman with him. Thanks Matt for being such an awesome father!
I think the kids think that going to Grandma and Papas house means at some point Papa is going to make his famous pancakes. He usually always does and the kids think they are the best pancakes in the world! Thanks Papa!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We went up to Logan for Thanksgiving and it was so much fun. We love living so close to so many awesome Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandma and Papa Bro! It was so fun to be with family for 5 days and just get to play. We played skipbo and face 10 and Matt and I went on a double date with Dan and Susan to The Dark Nite. We realized it was the first time we had ever done it and Matt and I have been together for 10 years! It was a ton of fun. Matt and I even we out the door at 8:30 am the day after Thanksgiving to go shopping, that is something we have never done.

Funny Sayings for the week

Whenever Rodney sees a McDonalds he says, "looks McDonalds had a farm"
Karlee calls Applebees = Applebeens and Red Robin = Red Robin Hood

Karlee and I were playing uno, I love to play games, and the first time we played she said "go fish" instead of uno, it was really funny.

Date Nite

When we moved Karlee was really sad to leave her old friends and has missed them a ton. It has been really nice that she has found a new friend, Jenasi, that she loves so much. Her mom and I have decided that going on a date with our hubbys twice a year is not cutting it, so we have started a date nite trade once a month. So once a month she goes out with her hubby and I watch her girls and then she watches my kids once a mth so me and my hubby get to go out. It has been so good for us and the kids. The kids love it cuz they get to play together and its nice cuz they are the same age.

Cookie Dough Bites

The kids and I made yummy chocolate chip cookies. It was a lot of fun. Karlee loves to wear my apron when she is helping and I couldn't find Matts for Rodney to wear. My batteries died in the camera so I didn't get a picture of the finished product, but trust me they are amazing. Thanks Michelle for the best chocolate chip cookie recipe in the world.

Emily was to busy laying on the floor and combing her hair to help. Since she is 1 we will let it slide this time. :)

There favorite part (and mine too) is to taste what they call cookie dough bites

Seussical Jr

Saturday evening I started to get a really bad headache and by Sunday my throat and ears were hurting really bad. On Monday Matt was so sweet and took Karlee and Rodney to the Library, for family home evening, the Scera Youth Theater was performing Seussical, Jr. The best part was since it was at the Library it was free and the kids loved all the singing and the costumes. I am so grateful to my hubby for giving me a break so I could rest and the kids sure had a great time out with there dad!

Snow Day

We have had so much fun the last couple of days. On Thursday we went to the Library and did story time then afterwords we went to our friends house and played in the snow. Friday my friend Rachel came over with her little boy Gage and then Matt and I got to go on a date, it was a work get together but still fun for us to spend time together. Thank you to the Noss family for babysitting! Then Saturday we babysat the Dalton kids which we love and don't get to see as much as we would like since we moved, so that was a ton of fun.
It made me think that I am so grateful for really good friends. Friends that are there through the good and the bad that support you and love you. I am so grateful for my family and really great friends!
Playing with our friend the Nosses!

Look what we woke up to!

I cant believe it is November, this year has gone by so fast! It was so fun to wake up this morning and see all the snow outside and to show the kids. They were so excited. Rodney was so cute he said "now we can go sledding!"
I am so glad that my sister talked me into starting a blog. I had been frustrated that I am so behind in scrapbooking and in Emilys pictures so this is a great way for me to be able to have a journal and a scrapbook. I love my kiddos so much and looking at there pictures makes me so happy.

Rodney got his cast off

So today was a BIG day! It started with Rodney waking up with a fever of 102 and us going to the Doctors office, she said that he has a sinus infection. Poor lil guy will be on antibiotics for the next 3 days. Then we went to the bone Dr and he got to have his cast off. He has had it for 5 1/2 wks and I was impressed at how well he did with it. Thank goodness it has been cool so it didn't get to hot and sweaty but I have to be honest, the last several days the cast has gotten pretty stinky!

Well Rodney and Emily both screamed while they sawed off the cast. I felt bad cuz I had to leave Emily in the stroller shaking and screaming while I covered Rodneys ears and tried to hold him still. It only took 2min to get it off but thats a long time when your 2 babies are upset. Then Rodney said his arm hurt and he cried a little bit more. Then they X-Rayed it again and said it had started to grow new bone and it was healing great. I asked if we needed to come back at all and he said not unless he falls in the next wk or breaks another bone. I told him we wouldn't be back and he laughed?

Well when we were walking to the house Rodney tripped and he would of fell if I hadn't of caught him by the back of his shirt. I still wish I could wrap him in bubble wrap for the next 10 years. I know he is a boy and he is going to get hurt, it is just so hard on the mama!

He broke his right arm

He is so cute

Poor Rodney he was so tired it was his nap time

Wow I have 2 Arms that move!
