What should we be for Halloween?

I asked Rodney what we should all be for Halloween. He said, "Dad should be Darth Vader, you should be Queen Amidala, Karlee should be Princess Leia, I will be Anakin Skywalker and Emily should be Captain Hook." We laughed so hard.

Karlee loves School!

I knew that Karlee would love school. Everyday I pick up her and her best friend Jenasi from school, I ask them how was school? What did they learn? I usually get the same answers everyday. They tell me the color they learned (They now all of them so they tell me the color they talked about) the Letter they talked about and that they love recess.

I ask them questions but It is very hard for them to remember they just focus on recess. So this morning was really fun when Karlee woke up 15minutes early and came and got in bed with me and we had "Girl Talk." We do "Girl Talk" a lot and it is something we both enjoy.

Well I found out that another little boy in the ward Jake sits right by her and that he is quite the comedian. He says a lot of really funny things to her. He will say is this my glue and she laughs and says no its mine and he will say oh. Then he will say is this my pencil and she will laugh and say no its mine and so on. Then there is a friend Hannah that wears really big shoes but Karlee loves them and she loves her laugh, the way she talks and her curly blonde hair.

The other teacher yells at kids and she is so happy she doesn't have her. Karlee was the teachers helper and got to help help take a girl to the office cuz she was sad and wanted to call her mom. There is a boy in the other class who had really "handsome hair" on school picture day and Karlee thought he was really cute and he chased her on recess. Her friend told her to bring her phone # and then she would give her hers. I didn't think all this started until she was older. :) It was so fun to hear her talk about school. Its so funny she doesn't like Saturdays cuz there is no school and no church. I love that girl!

WOW!!!!!!!

Wow!!!!! My sweet baby girl is in Kindergarten. I cant believe I have a school girl!!!!! I love Karlee so much. She is such an amazing daughter. We are so blessed to have her in our family. She is always making us laugh and very helpful. About 2 weeks before she started school I started balling. I couldn't believe I was going to send her off to be with people that I didn't know.

She loves school so much. On the first day of school she said, "everyone is nervous on the first day of school." She was so happy that daddy was able to come with us to take her on her first day of school. I think she was a little nervous but as soon as she saw her best friend Jenasi she was fine. They held hands as they headed in the Big building together. I'm sure going to miss her while she is at school. She is a huge help to me and great company but already she doesn't like Saturdays cuz there is no school. Sundays are good cuz we have church :)

It took everything for me not to cry when she picked out such a Big Girl backpack!

Well as you know last wk was my Birthday and Our Anniversary. We had so much fun together. Matt and I went to The Melting Pot with his Mom and Dad. It was a blast. It was there first time eating there. Matts parents are so good to us. I was so glad to get to go on a double date with them. Then Matt and I stayed at a Bed in Breakfast. It had the most amazing breakfast that we got to eat out on a balcony. It was so great to eat our food hot and talk to each other. We don't get to do that enough at our house(crazy kids) :)

My amazing sister stayed with the kids while we were gone. When we got home she had put up balloons and streamers, made a cake, gave me all of her magazines (that I love to read) brought me zucchini and done my dishes. The kids were hiding in the kitchen and yelled "Surprise." Karlee said it was the best surprise party ever.

What an amazing sister I have! Andra I love you so much thank you for taking such good care of my kids and for always taking such good care of me. You are the best big sister ever!

My amazing friend Candice got me a Hot pink wallet (I forgot to take a picture but I will be flashing it all over town :) and the Best carrot cake ever, my best friend Laleh sent us to the Olive garden and sent some yummy treats and an amazing lady Robby got me the cutest decorations for Halloween. I felt so loved. Thank you.

Matt got me a beautiful bracelet for our anniversary and downloaded pictures of the kids to a Celine Dion song on an Ipod Nano I cried so hard I loved it. I got him a new watch for our anniversary too. I love Birthdays and I love celebrating! Thank you Matt for making me feel so special and loved. I'm so grateful I married my Best friend there is no one else that I would want to be with for eternity!

My Bestfriend!!!!!

I love this girl soooooo much!!!!! Laleh and I have been best friends since we were 14! She has always been my best friend and also a nurturing mother to me. I love her so much. She has the kindest heart and is such an amazing friend. Since we graduated from High School we have tried very hard to stay in touch through the phone, email, texting and my favorite her coming to our home :) She is a flight attendant so she tries to come as much as she can (which isn't enough) but I will take what I can get. :)

Last month she came and stayed a couple of days with us and we realized we hadn't seen each other in 3 yrs! It was so much fun to catch up. We even got a babysitter one night and went out and got a bite to eat and watched a movie. I haven't laughed that hard in years!

She is the type of friend that you can hang out with in your PJ's all day and talk until midnight before you realized you didn't eat all day! Words can't express how much I love her and how much she has been there for me. I am so grateful to know her and have her in my life. Laleh you define the meaning to the word "true friendship." Thank you for always being there for me. I love you so much!

P.S I still think we look like "you know what" in that picture of us holding the kids. hahahahaha!

Hello to everyone on the world wide web - Its me, Matt! I have hacked into the family blog that Stephanie keeps for our family. I just wanted to take a minute and tell everyone just how much I love Stephanie and to wish her a happy birthday.

Stephanie brings so much happiness to my life and to our kids. We are so grateful that she was born and that we get to share in celebrating her birth. Her love, compassion, friendship, energy, humor, selflessness and nurturing are a gift to all of us and we hope that today you know just how blessed we are to have you be in our family. You are the world's greatest mom to our kids. Everyday they feel your unconditional love and care. You are so patient with them and I know you would do anything to ensure that they are happy and safe.

I couldn't have asked for a better wife. Not only are you my wife, you are my best friend and eternal partner. It is an honor that you agreed to marry me 10 years ago and I am so grateful to know that we can be together as a family forever.

Stephanie, I love you. I love you so much it hurts when I am away from you. I love you so much that when I am around you I get giddy with excitement. My heart beats because of you and it beats just a little bit faster every time you kiss me. I love when you laugh and I love when you smile. I love when you look at me with those beautiful blue eyes. Happy 10Year Anniversary! Part 1 of 2 post!

Ten years ago, I married my best friend! I cant believe how quickly time has flown by. In that time we have had a lot go on. I have had my gall bladder out, lasik eye surgery, 2 laparoscopic procedures, and 3 C-sections. We have lived in Logan, San Francisco, CA; Saratoga Springs and now Sandy. We have been to Glacier National Park, Lava Hot Springs, Las Vegas, Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Jose, Alberta, Canada; Twin Falls, Oregon, and Spokane Washington.

We met at Wal-Mart of all places. I had just gotten out of a relationship and also had a missionary and was confused and didn't want to date anyone! Matt says that he saw a beautiful tall girl with long blonde hair on Register #1 and wanted to take me out but was too nervous to ask. I had a good friend who had a boyfriend and they always wanted to have me go on double dates and they kept setting me up with dorks. So finally I said to them why don't you set me up with someone handsome and he said like who? I said that guy in Sporting goods is very handsome and that led to him telling Matt to ask me out.

We went on our first date to a marching band performance that Matt's brother Nate was in. This was when I met Matt's mom and dad (on our first date!). We had a ton of fun together and remained friends for many months. Matt left to go see his cousin Brent in Arizona and while he was gone I realized how much I missed him and loved him. Shortly after he got back we shared our first kiss. Then in July we got engaged and Sept 3 1999 we were married in the Logan Temple.

It is so amazing to be married to such a kind, patient, loving, Handsome :) , strong priesthood holder, my best friend, someone who knows you better than you know yourself, hard worker, and someone who always knows how to make me laugh and put a smile on my face. I truly married my best friend. I love you Matt more than words can say. I'm so grateful to have shared the last 10 (11) yrs knowing and loving you. Thank you for being such a hard worker and always putting your family first.

Pretty Toes

So for the last couple of years for our anniversary/my birthday I have got to go and have a pedicure it is something that I get once a year and I really look forward to it. Well I have really wanted to spend sometime with just me and Karlee before she started school and so I thought instead of it being something that I get to do on my birthday we could change it to before school starts the girls go get that done.

Karlee loved having lotion rubbed on her feet. She surprised me cuz I thought that she would pick hot pink or purple but she wanted red. She said she thought the color was going to be more red than the pink it turned out to be but she still liked them. Since she didnt want to do the wax she got a sticker on every toe. Now I gotta figure out something that Matt and Rodney can do toether for back to school. Maybe go fishing? Hunting? Shooting? We will have to see what they plan?

Karlee I love you so much. I cant believe that you are starting school tommarrow. You have been such a blessing to our family. You were our Christmas miracle and I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for trusting me with your sweet spirit. Always remember that your mom and dad love you and so do your brother and your sister. I know you are going to have a wonderful day tommarrow and that you are going to love your teacher.

2 More Days until Summer is officially over!

I cant believe how fast this summer has gone by! This is the rest of our pictures from this summer. I love spending time with my family and I love having a blog so that we can always remember the fun memories that we have.

I had a party for Karlee and a bunch of the kids starting school. We had cake, ice cream and drinks at the park it was a ton of fun. I cant believe my little girl is going to go to Kindergarten!

I made a school bus cake and a crayon cake both turned out pretty good I thought. Karlee said she had the best mom ever and was so happy to show her friends the cool cakes she had. She said we need to have a back to school party every year :)

This summer was super fun we got to have cousin Whitney and cousin Bentley both spend the night for the first time. Bentley stayed for 3 nights and he and Rodney had a blast. We went to the park everyday for a couple of hours with a picnic and they played cars the rest of the time. Rodney was really happy to have another boy around!

The boys played in the bath and slept in the same bed. I was worried about if they would go to sleep or not but they actually did :) I hope he will come stay a few days with us every summer. It was a ton of fun to have him in our home!

Bentleys baby sister, Halle, turned 1! It seems like she was just born and we were going to meet her in the hospital and now she is running around. I feel bad I didn't get more pictures we were to busy celebrating!

We went to Chuckee Cheese and Emily somehow managed to ride the horse ride for over an hr. She refused to get off so I just let her stay there she was so happy even though the pictures look like she is mad :) I think toward the end she was really dizzy so I needed to get her off!

Then last night we took the kids to Red Robin. We decided to go there for FHE and also before Matt started up his next set of 8 wk classes and Karlee started school. Rodney was so funny and really wanted to wear his boots so we let him. It was a ton of fun. The kids were happy and the waitress even surprised us with a HUGE piece of ice cream cake for my birthday (a few days early) It was a great way to end the summer. I love my family so much and I am so grateful for them.
