Sick Halloween

Its been a rough week. Last week Emily and Rodney both had croup. Yesterday I took Emily to the Dr and she has an eye infection, a sinus infection and an ear infection. I feel so bad for her. We have Matts annual Halloween Party at his work and I wish it was next week so I could stay in bed. I'm so exhausted. I told Matts mom to feel free to come and kidnap my children! :) Then we have a fun ward party tonight with chili, cinnamon rolls, and trunk or treating that Emily and I will miss. Then tomorrow I have to work from 9-6 then trick or treating maybe Em and I will stay home again?? Sunday church and then I have to work 2-10 then make some cookies for my nieces birthday and her party on Monday then I babysit Tue and Thur. I'm feeling a bit drained and Halloween hasn't even officially started! Pictures to follow! :)

Family Home Evening

Last night was so much fun! Its been getting really cold (we woke up to snow this morning) and so we wanted to have family home evening and have it be warm and fun! Well Matt and Karlee went and got 2 Pumpkins at the store and we had cream of broccoli soup with homemade rolls. It was so good! After dinner Matt cut the pumpkins and Karlee and Rodney both got to clean one out. Its sad and I'm not exactly sure why but we have never done this with the kids. We did it once when Karlee was one but that's it?? Karlee was really excited to cut the pumpkins she didn't realize how gross they were inside. But it was a ton of fun. Matt asked Rodney and Karlee both what shape they wanted there eyes, nose and how many teeth they should have.

Karlee said it was gross but she didn't mind doing it. Emily was just cute!

These pictures of Rodney kill me! He was dry heaving. We had to really talk him through doing this it was really hard for him the texture was really getting to him but once he was almost done he liked it and thought it was funny and was proud of himself for getting every single pumpkin see out!

Can you tell which one was Karlees design and which one was Rodney's. Hahahahaha so funny. Emily and I just watched them and laughed and took pictures! We had the easy job :)

I don't let the kids eat in there rooms too much or we would never eat together as a family. So on a special occasion I let them eat in the girls room it is a Big deal and very exciting! They love to eat at the kids table in there!

Ward Halloween Party

We have a really fun Ward! We had a Primary Activity and it was so much fun. I love to see all the kids and there creative costumes. We had a donut eating contest, a pumpkin toss, a mummy wrap, a pumpkin roll, a pumpkin race, pumpkin toss, and a Halloween story where a witch had no friends and had to make one in her kitchen and she used brains (cauliflower) eyes, (grapes), nose (marshmallows), teeth (candy corn) and the guts (spaghetti) all which they got to fell in the dark. They loved it so much several of them went twice!

Karlee had so much fun with her friends. I wish Rodney and Emily weren't sick so they could of came!

Emily as Dora

Emily is obsessed with Dora, Diego and boots. She loves them. This is one of 2 Dora outfits she got for her birthday. She loves to wear them both! Also every night before Matt comes to bed he checks on the kids, it is something that he has done since we had Karlee. He went to check on Emily and at first couldn't find her, she managed to get most of her "friends" piled on her back. She is so adorable!

Our world in a Minute

I forgot to tell Everyone that Karlee got a Mustang Award at school. I guess they said her name over the intercom and she got called to the office and got a pencil, trapper keeper and an award. Her Principal even called me to congratulate her. It says "Mighty Fine Mustang award Presented to Karlee for being such a wonderful Listener" We were so proud of her.

Last wk Karlee had a cold and on Saturday my awesome friend took some family pictures for us and then Saturday night Rodney came down with a bad fever. He was so sick on Sunday I took him to the Dr yesterday. He has croup and they had to give her steroids. He has been coughing terrible and having a hard time breathing. I think Emily is getting what he has :(

Went to Win Co and got some amazing Deals with my sister. Trying to pump Matt, the kids and myself with Vitamin C!

Happy Birthday Emily!

I cant believe this was 2 years ago!! I went into the Hospital to have a scheduled c-section.

Emily was 8lbs 15oz and 19 inches long. Our smallest baby :) At 9:03 am. She was supposes to be born earlier but a couple of girls came in and needed an epidural so I had to wait since I was in 0% Labor. At the last minute she decided to climb up in my ribs and it took 2 Dr to pull her out. One pushing on my tummy the other pulling. I cried so hard, it hurt so bad and when she came out she was screaming. I was so worried she was going to be a screamer. But she was such a good baby.

She is so smart for her age. She is a little firecracker. She is fearless, brave, tough, sweet, lovey, independent, and such a little angel. We are so blessed to have her in our family.

Its crazy how fast your kids grow up! Rodney was still a baby when his baby sister was born. They are exactly 18mth apart.

Emilys first Christmas

Emily is obsessed with Dora, Diego and boots. So we gave her a Dora birthday. All day she was saying "My Birthday" She is such a sweet girl. Emily we love you so much and our so grateful that you are a part of our family. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

I made her a Dora and Diego cake. The Diego cake looks like Ace Ventura and I think that the Dora cake turned out great. I ordered the cookies from another lady and gave them out as thank yous for coming to Emilys Birthday.

Matt made Nachos supreme. Which we all loved. It was so nice to have Matts family and my sisters family here. Thanks for celebrating with us! We even got to talk to Uncle Nate and Aunt Julie on the computer it was so fun to have Uncle Nate sing to Emily in Portuguese. Emily got a bunch of books, a Dora movie, a cute dress and outfit, a monkey, and two Dora Dress up dresses. She had a great Birthday!

The Cakes, like I said I like the Dora one but I told Matt I better write Diego on there or no one would no who it was. Hahahaha I hope Emily knows how hard I tried to make her day special for her. I love you Emily!

Funny Friday

A couple of days ago I said to Rodney,

Me: How did you get to be so handsome?
Rodney: I don't know?
Me: You are handsome just like your daddy
Me: How did you get to be so cute?
Rodney: My mom

I sure love that boy. His sweet heart and brown eyes can melt my heart so easily :)

Funny Friday

I told Rodney to come and eat at the table and he said, "one more minute, mom" (he was watching t.v) and I said no you need to come and eat and he said, "Mom this is serious." What a funny little dude.

Last night Grandma and Papa Bro where here and so when Emily woke up this morning she said, "Papa go?" and I said he went home and she said, "Oh, man." I love how much she is talking. She already knows how to count to 10, all her ABC's and she can pick out almost all the letters in the alphabet. She sure is a smart cookie!
