Where is Mason?

I was throwing the kids blankets down the stairs to wash them and when I went to go get them Mason was hiding in them thinking he was so funny. What a goofball!

Funny Friday

So I got out the BBQ sauce & realized I accidentally bought spicy instead of normal. I said, "Oh crap" & Karlee asked what was wrong I told her what I did & she said, "Its called read the Label." I said "rude" she said, "Mom laugh that was funny." Its like watching myself in the mirror. *Just got busted by a 9yr old :)

We were eating taco soup for dinner & Emily just asked if she could have seconds on the cheese & sour cream only. Hahaha

Mason was freaking out saying he wanted his "doofflop" what the freak is a doofflop?? The girls were upstairs brushing there teeth so I thought he was saying toothbrush. I kept telling him, he could brush his teeth after his bottle. Well he kept yelling for it. So I finally said lets go find your doofflop? He went upstairs and got his football. I would of never figured that one out. :)

Mason was being a stinker and dumping out all the toys and blankets we just cleaned up. So I was trying to get him to clean them up. He was not listening and just being silly. I said, "Mason your not listening and your breaking Mamas heart." I didn't really mean it, I was just hoping he would help out. Rodney who barely has a voice whispered, "I'll heal your heart." What a sweat boy! Mason is too, just in that moment he was being a stinker.

I said to Rodney, "you are losing your blankets" he said, "at least I'm not losing my mind."   Very clever!

Cookie Monster

Yesterday I made chocolate chip cookies for the ladies I visit teach. I actually let Karlee make them and they turned out great! Well I gave all the kids one and about an hour later when everyone was in there p.js watching TV Mason ran in the TV room with a half eaten cookie saying, "so yummy." He had gotten another one on his own. That Mason is such a silly baby!

I think Mason is sooooo handsome! I think some of the reason he is so cute is because the Lord knew sometimes he would be a handful. He can be such a stinker and in everything and then so lovey and sweet. I was singing him a song this morning and in the middle of the song he looked at me and said, "Mom boogies." I couldn't help but laugh, and add "No mom doesn't have any boogies." What a stinker!

Well over the last few months Rodney has had strep throat several time. The Dr. decided he needed to have his tonsils and adenoids taken out. I wanted to wait until he was off track so the first available day was the day after Valentines day. He was a little nervous but excited to have a bunch of ice cream. His surgery was a later than planned, he went back about 11:15 and I saw him about an hr later. When I saw him he started crying, I knew his throat was hurting a few minutes later they gave him some meds and about 10-15min I could tell it was working.

 

He is on some pretty heavy meds so we have been walking him to the bathroom but last night he wanted to go himself. We let him and on the way back he slipped down a few stairs, we told him until he is off the meds we will have to walk with him. He has a really big sore on the side of his mouth from it being propped open for surgery and that is really painful. We have had to stay on the meds every 4hrs or the pain is just to much. Right now he is having a little ice cream, a little Popsicles but mostly water/juice. The Dr and the nurses were really nice they gave him the blanket in the last picture. The Dr said for the next 2-3 weeks he will be not be feeling great and he needs to be careful. He is bored and frustrated that he has no voice. Poor dude.



Valentines day 2013

Well those of you who know me know that I love any reason to celebrate! I am the type of person that needs exciting or happy things to look forward to. Especially during these long cold winter months. I also Love my family like crazy!

This is the first Valentines in 13 years that I didn't get to see my husband, that was sad. But we did hide Valentine cards in his suitcase, a red heart shaped heart in his work shoes and a special note in his toiletry bag. (notice 3 things) Anyway he sent me some really pretty tulips and I had fun playing with the girls hair and making heart shaped pizzas.

January was nuts. I was in the hospital for 4 days with meningitis, all the kids were sick, we finally had a day where everyone was healthy so we made homemade pizzas that was a ton of fun!
